News, articles and comment:
Progressives Accuse Tea Parties of Harboring Racists
(TP logo is a hotlink)  The NAACP has established a committee whose purpose is to research (read: produce
"proof" of) these charges.  We're waiting for the Abortion Rights folks to join them, since the founder of that
movement, Ms. Sanger, was an early proponent of Eugenics.  For those of you who don't recognize the term,
eugenics is a philosophy which promotes the "cleansing" of humanity of "inferior" races.  People who aren't
white, Jews and so forth. The National Socialist, Adolf Hitler, was a fan of the concept.  So, since the tea parties
are dramatically altering the political structure of America, is there any danger they and their fellow-travelling
Republican conservative pals may bring about terrible change right here in the liberal Eden of Oregon?

Just below, two Ormag Originals on race.  On the left, Oregon's true record.  On the right a national scandal:

Oregon's Racist History  and  OPB's Ken's "Congress"

Tea Party Beginnings and Endings
(OMED: The link above will take you to an essay by Art Hyland of Astoria,
Oregon. This is part one of two or three connected essays. In places,
this first piece is lyrical. It sings a song verging on the poetic.
In the vernacular, it fairly rings with personal, human truth.)

Why Did We Select the TeePee for the TP?

(The Mid-Term election)
Saving Oregon Jobs: Huffman Instead of Wyden   Our choice to replace Ron
Wyden is a Westerner who knows how to saddle a horse and plow a field.  A guy who has worked in a lumber mill. If you're
a tea party type, you won't like some of his views, but even these are "soft" versions.  Yes, we know who Krauthammer and
Rove are, but in Oregon, political choice rarely includes a fiscal conservative. He looks like one of those to us.  So, for the
U.S. Senate, we pick Jim Huffman.

The Wisdom of Wooden
America's Greatest Coach Leaves Written Legacy
by Fred Delkin

Local Columnist Launches Collection of His Opinions
This is about wine. Oregon Magazine's Editor, Fred Delkin, is a master of the arts of the
grape. One of the founding members of the Oregon Wine Advisory Board, and former
owner of Jake's Crawfish restaurant in Portland, Fred for years did not particularly respect
the man discussed in this piece. Praise from one's enemy is rare, indeed.

What you will read in this one will shock you to the marrow of your bones.

Held over >> Delkin reviews a book about the gigantic climate scam:
Global Warming? Author Debunks Current Claims

Amid all the political excitement being stirred up
byPresident Obama's 'Cap & Trade'measure he wants to
shove through Congress, a new book,
Climatism, by
Steve Goreham
, should be read as a complete discussion
of the science, politics and the energy policy
implications of the global warming debate. Goreham,
an engineer with an MBA from the University of Chicago,
asks very pertinent and informed questions.

Cuba to cut 500,000 from state payroll...     (X-Link)  The story of the decade has
nothing to do with wars or rumors of wars.  It has nothing to do with the election of a moonbat president and
congress which have in the last two years produced a budget deficit larger than America's first forty administrations
and congresses combined.  This story surpasses both Glenn Beck presenting accurate American history on
television, and  the supermarket tabloid photos of the actual UFO which brought Nancy Pelosi to Earth.   No, the
story of the decade happened in September of 2010, when Fidel Castro said that "Socialism doesn't work."  A
